    intercooler full of water

    hiya,
i was on this forum afew months back with a poorly misfiring s2, after a long spell in the garage we think that we have finally found the fault, it was left stood for 3 months after giving up however upon starting it up it hydrauliced on further inspection the intercooler was full to the brim with water, i just wondered if anybody knew how it was getting in there are no splits or anything in the pipes.
    cheers chris

i have had that when my car was off the road wile i was repairing it my intercooler filled up with water only just about an inch worth but stiil got water in there. was clear as tape water just put it down to condinsation as the outer fins was all full of water from being out side. i first of all thought the water from the out side leaked into the in side but it was a brand new intercooler. nad no problems the time it was on there.
