Hi,
My engine misfires when I rev it immediately after starting from cold. I gently build up the revs to 4-5000 let the engine idle for a moment and then it's fine. The engine is fine under load etc and goes well enough!! What do you think?
Could well be a leaking injector which is allowing one or more chamber to fill with fuel...
I replicated this behaviour on mine recently when doing some injector testing such that I had a few half second shots of fuel into some chambers. The following morning had such a troublesome start and I had to hold about 3000 rpm for a little while before things settled down.
You shouldnt be revving it from cold start anyways!! LOL Sounds like a leaky injector either that or a contaminated plug? Any loss of oil or water??
Thanks for the reply.
I've checked the oil and water and both are ok. I will change the plugs though. If it is an injector how do I find out which one it is ?
