ABY ecu for 3B Engine

Can a ABY ECU be used on a 3B Engine, I know the ABY has a cam position sensor, can i rewire it to work from the sensor inside the dizzy?

is it a straight forward thing to do?

You will need a ABY loom and ECU, then its plug and play

No the ECU's have different pins, you'd need the loom or have to open the ecu plug and insert and move the pins.

You can change the pins around at the ecu plug end so it will work and use the hall sender on the dizzy instead of fitting one to the front of the engine.

Guys - the isn't really anything to do with source of camshaft position info (hall sensor)... There is the wee small tiny matter of a 3B having one coil and a mechanical distributor whereas the ABY is a 5 x coilpack distributorless system. So yes you can graft an ABY ECU onto a 3B - but you either need to swap in the ABY loom for plug and play or get jiggy with moving some ECU pins around.
