I think the two cars (the GT4 and S2) were evolutions of previous models that both featured prominently in the WRC. A similar pedigree in many respects?
My observations (purely subjective) are that the build of the S2 is much better than the GT4 although both feel robust. Maybe its just that the engine/exhaust note of a 5 cyl seems that much more sophisticated than the 4 cyl although with an Apexi Dunk system on my GT4, the note was somewhat non-standard.
In the cabin though, there is no comparison.... The S2 has a trip computer with numerous functions (the GT4 has nothing!), the white dials, leather steering wheel, negligible ride noise (in comparison) and the 6-speed box.
I suppose the GT4 has a token boost gauge though!
The GT4 ECU may have kept the boost below 6psi for exactly the reason you suggest...not sure? In any case, my vehicle ran (for some of its life) without the cat!
That was a b***h of a job getting it out of the downpipe but made a perceptible difference to the cars performance.
SR71?
Yup - a reference to the Blackbird and the profession I'm engaged in!
http://www.sr-71.org/blackbird/manual/ will tell you all you need to know about it!
If it doesn't go fast, I'm not interested.

You're missing out on all the fun! Give it some stick and feel the grin grow and grow until you look like the Joker from Batman!
needed every little rev to keep up with a Mitsi Evo. I expected it to pull away quicker.. but anyway.. the sound does defintely change when u get to those high RPMs. Need more power tho.
