    Advice on K24 oil feed

RS2 manifold off 3b now! What a ball ache that was, ended up with a cole chissel but actually this is the best way to deal with the middle nut problem, replace with new stud for £1.75, happy days job done!

Anyway that not what I wanted to ask...

re attaching the main oil feed to base of k24 on the hot side ..

Is it best to drain oil, remove pipe work from sump so you have the ease of attachment to the removed turbo

    or

leave oil feed attached to sump and spend hours up and under trying to attach to base of turbo from under car, ( tried this but getting very frustrated 1.5 hours already trying) so either doing something basically wrong or the other is easier, more time saving but then will need an oil change!)

    decisions decisions ...

so whats it going be guys

When i took it off i drianed the oil, took it off from sump which should allow you to move / rotate the pipe out of the way for easier access. I think i also used a cut down spanner to get in there and get a bar on the end of it and it will undo easy.

If you take the front bumper and offside head light off this will greatly improve access.
