Not sure, maybe i use one?

I cannot say that these are reliable, don't have checked for unusual detonation or fuel ratio..
Never had troubles with the ECU. Once the limp home has been active somewhen last year (Inlet Temp sensor?) And oh, yes, one of the sensors at the gearbox (G4) failed and the ECU stopped the engine immediately - surprise!

Other hassels where always related to boost leaks
So i think everything right with the chipset.

The mpg is slightly better. Most of the time I'm rolling off boost (traffic..). Overboost is somwhere near 1.5 (ABY here) going to 1.1 down at high revs.

..trying to verify that i really use fastech, bought the chips years ago..

I'd prefer a homefry chip to be honest, cheap, reliable and dyno proven to near 300 bhp on a stock turbo with the right setup.

No experience of them, but I would definately second that vote for the "homefry" from paul nugent (www.s2central.net) is fantastic value for money. I haven't had my car dyno'd since ..but for £250 it certainly delivers loads of extra power and torque.

1.1bar at high revs concerns me for the life expectancy of a K24... I'd like to try it in real time mode on a car fitted with a bigger intercooler and AFR gauge - its probably OK in short bursts like on trackdays but thats a lot of punishment on a hard driven daily driver. Gets me thinking again about ways to run two maps and have a 'mode' switch in the cockpit which selects your mood... Very very easy to do on the 3B, and a bit more complex for ABY/ADU but it is something I am working on - due to popular demand shall we say ;-)

My state of 1.1 was about revs around 5500-6500 1/min, I personally never go higher..
"High" revs may be defined different here

whats the point in taking a k24 to 7k when they drop off after 5k?

Peak power on stock cams is about 5800rpm from memory... with the right internals (solid lifters etc) and mapping you could run to 8000 if you wish on a bigger turbo.
