Oh dear, bleed valves don't usually get the best response on the forum . Suggestion would be keep it standard if you don't know what you're doing...

Basically a bleed valve will run the same boost all the way through the revs (assuming the WG can keep up) so if it's set to 1.0bar then that's where it stays. N75 controls boost so you can run higher boost in the mod range and save the turbo up top. Your ECU will be a bit confused as it can no longer control boost and if you run higher boost than the car is mapped for then the fuelling will be a sort of best guess. Not ideal.

i now it will boost same bar all the way, but why cant i get more then 1,0bar all closed for flow, i should get minimum 1,4 bar as before. my goal is 1,5-1,6 there is no wg spring for that, that i now off, the 1,9bar from 034 is to much

I second that. Only with a custom chip you are as near to the optimum as you can get.. With mechanical boost control you are going back to the flintstones IMHO.. My advice would be to put back the N75 and get a perfect chip tuning done. There you have optimum mpg, max performance out of selected boostlevel, and max life of the turbo.

          huh, i was late

There is an option, there is a small cap in the middle of the WG hat. If you get it off there is a way to adjust the spring pressure..

What turbo do you have? With K24/7200 and mechanically controlled 1.6bar you don't want to go to the redline

i now about the wg hat sqrew but dont whant to do that. the turbo i am running is k26, still my question was why i only get 1,0bar when full closed bleedvalve and dropping to 0,5 at redline why i just cant understand , think i just gonna swap back to n75

Is this a ball and spring type valve or is it bleed only? If it is bleed only, closing it will lower boost as the WG counter pressure is not bled off.
Bleed only is junk. Acts like a boost leak and allows WG creep, slowing spool by 1000rpm. My RS2 felt NA, like a wimpy B7 RS4 engine when I got it.
I use a Turbotech ball and spring type controller that allows the fastest spool possible. Night and day difference vs bleed valve.

espen is right a dawes device is the best of the manual controllers

an electronic controller is better again it will clamp and allow for boost to be bled to drop off at the higher revs

manual is fine if you have the right tuning. tuning is the be all and end all really.

if you have a WB02 and egt id be tempted, if the n75 isnt working or you dont have and EBC id be tempted to set her up otherwise no guages to feedback id be on the tried and tested factory setup.
