Looking for S2 3B map or asap file

Dear all,

This is my first post on S2forum, and it won't be the last

I am looking for the S2 3B ECU SW map file or asap file (a2l) to start working on a custom remap for my S2 3B project

Does anyone have this file or any information on where I can get it?

Also I don't know if it is possible to programm the ecu through K/L lines or if eeprom programming is the only solution. Does anyone know this?

are you saying that you want the "stock chips" from the S2 3b ECU??? for work remaping with them??

No no I still have the stock chips in my ECU anyway. If we can re-programm them directly through K/L connectors, I won't get new ones.

The map file is the file that describes the adresses of all the variables and calibration data in the SW. Asap-file is a sort of more complete map file, with information like min/max values, calculations formulas, etc...

I need this file to know where in the software I should make modification. For example I will have to change the maximum allowed boost pressure value, and to do that I need to know the adress of this data in the software.

Do you get what I mean now?

1 - You cannot remap 3B (or ABY) via OBD. The ECU does not support it...

2 - People like me (and others) who have spent years (and non trivial amounts of money) unpicking the binary files to locate maps and understand how they interact are just NOT going to give that info away.

It's not possible to reprogram the S2 ecu's via OBD this functionality is for newer cars only.

You need to burn new eproms.

Changing the boost tables isn't as simple as changing one value, from what I know you have to modify the WGFV frequency table with new values.

I do doubt you'll find what you are looking for on here as the people who know are in the mapping business and will not likely freely release the information.

You could try contacting Bry as he was AFAIK dabbling with ECU readings.

I understand that people who have spent years on trying to decode binaries will not give all their knowledge like this. But I think that people who got an adress map file by buying it or simply finding it on internet share their information more easily. It is probably not foundable for the S2

Good luck - if you are working in this area professionally then maybe you need to chase up all the Bosch contacts you have - AFAIK - that is the only place you can purchase such info - and ONLY if you are a recognised professional tuning company.

IIRC Mihnea said Bosch made it illegal to sell any such information regarding Motronics and the only information available was in German

I'll have to dig out his posts. This is why you don't have many have a go tuners in the Audi scene.
