    Oil Leak

    Right,

    Mornng guys,

Found the cause of the oil leak and it is the smaller of the two oil switches on the side. What a pain to get too and all gunkedup round there. Well, for those interested trying to fit one without taking the rad out is possible if you drop the alternator and is mounting off th block to give a good line to get to it. Managed to sort it with a long 23mm socket and knuckle with an extension running up the side of the rad by the air intake. PAin to do and keep turning properly but very very doable. Easier without aircon on the front of the rad though.

SO next went for a drive and still got a leak so looks like the rad is coming out today anyway so may as well clean up while in there. What best to use for thick gunky oil?

Yup replaced, cleaned removed air con rad and pipes to bulkhead and compresor as a start so nothing is dangling round in there. Isn't the fluid a great colour, makes the car bleed like a predator!!! Only a little came out though as there was naf all in the system anyway. All back together and running like it should. Need to get the samco's next so I can sort the boost leak out..... Next oil leak coming from turbo side...... All over the turbo to intercooler hose so I haven't got a clue where it is coming from, only minor minor leak though just looks like it has been going for some time. Also replaced the clip on the pipe from the bottom of the PSfluid reservoir, looked like it has been leaking round there for a bit too.

So with all clean just need the gunk to dry off a touch and fingers crossed no more oil drinking habit for the car.

P.S. Without the air con rad on there getting to that switch is a dodle for the furute
