As suggested, it's on the side with the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) pressure gauge, which looks like this:
I have a problem with some MRC chips I bought.
I put MRC chips in my ECU. But the car would't start. I hear the motor trying to star and i smell a gasoline, but still the motor would't start. When i put back my old chips the car start OK. Before i removed the ecu from a car i disconect the batery. Is there some other procedure how to chaning the eproms.
I double check the pins and the side of the eproms and everything is set Ok.
This is the picture of my ecu.
Does someone have any idea what can be the problem. Does I have to wait sometime with batery disconect to reset the ecu or else?
As suggested, make sure the EPROM is the correct way round, make sure pins aren't bent etc so it seats properly. It should fire up immediately after the chips are fitted. Otherwise I'd suggest there is an issue, sure MRC would send out a replacement if you returned them.
I delete this picture because i did put eproms just for picturing. And when i look at picture i have seen i made a mistake. I will put the picture with corect place of the boost and fuel chips. When i try to start the engine the chips for boost and fuel was in corect place. Boost at the side where the MAp sensor is.
