the only thing that holds me is how "fast" the gt40 is gonna spool up.

Tial is an aftermarket producer mate, they take a Garrett turbo and modify it. The Tial 4082r with T3 flange is not an official Garrett turbo therefore Garrett have no stats for it.

You would have to contact Tial for the maps.

The only official Garrett GT40R turbos are the 4088r & 4094r both with T4 flange.
thanks for the explanation. but on a stat like above, i can't see what a turbo can do

i'll post it hear, if you could check it

    you can find this line:

Build / Hybrid Options from TiAL:
    Available with T31 (T3 inlet flange) in .82 A/R, .63 A/R Housings.

but the mean of that is to revv higher then 7500, like 8300 max

do you have any know of the spoolup form the gt4088r .82 a/r and T3

gonna use the car for streetrace and drage and track, and streetFUN

but i would like to know what the diffence is in spool up? what is better T4 or T3

im using an PeterG manifold or an KRB-trading, and an Furans IM

when the boost are coming, are the EM and IM who desides...( big turbo= longer tubins, for the EM, and you may have "bigger" cams.
and the ccm( you may use the gt 40or the 42 with 0,94 a/r... instead) spec if you use the 2500stroker(2700ccm...)
    Edit:

    GT35 = 600 - 650 bhp not 500-550. The GT3076r will do 500-550 bhp

For me the biggest thing you have to consider is what manifold you will be using.

Any of the Garretts above the GT35r use the T4 flange which is quite a bit larger than the T3.

Just seen title, go for the G40 if you can get it with T3 flange

I have been digging this topic for some time. IMO it would be better to have GT40 AR 0.86. Do some turbo flow map analysis. If you want 650HP on crank than 35R will be maxed out. For 40R it is no problem, the lag will be bigger but the turbo map allows you to build boost quicker with no surge.
