Work backwards and find the restriction.

ok so i took hose off to see whats what and i started the engine and for the first time it idled by itself...sweet as a nut! after it cut out a couple of times from revvin it i managed to hold the revvs quite high and i put my hand over the crossmember outlet for the accordian hose, and air wasnt gushin out it was like a gentle breeze.
I know you wont get the full effect until the car is under load but surely it should of pumped out quite a bit?
I had intercooler off 2 weeks ago and all seemed fine, mark h mod all tiht etc. Could the intercooler or cross member pipe be blocked?

If the hose is collapsing then there must be restriction in the intake system before it.

they have been checked umpteen times! The hose was fine before, it is only since yesterday i noticed when you rev it hard you can see the hose collapse. I wonder if this was happening before when driving under load?
You would never see it, and ive done a pressure test and was fine. Maybe just another problem in itself.

its an early aby wiv 3b pipework, accordian hose is only about 18 months old.

Maybe i have a block somewhere? I took intercooler off and seemed fine
Interesting, you havent got a rag stuffed in one of the pipes or the turbo have you? Often done, someone uses a rag in to stop dirt getting in and forgets to tell anyone about it.

To be honest m8, it sounds like you have been had when they told you it was running fine.

Have you checked for faults error“s int the ecu?
Maybe you have to start looking for sensor errors now, cam sensor, cranck sensor etc
