Audi Motronic Re-Programming

Doing some research in to PIC Programming of microprocessors used in the motronic ECU's I stumbled on to an old post of a few of you guys doing some investigation of reprogramming the Motronic Chipsets using some software from Atlantis.

I just wondered if anyone ever got anywhere with it and if they had some good results from it?

Its an interesting bit of software - well - it might be but it doesn't install on my machine - was gonna see how many maps it could find from its generic knowledge... Which I expect is going to be the big problem with this - its a mighty project with laudable goals but unless it can find all the maps, or is user configurable to be told where they are, and how they are scaled then its almost useless. Even very expensive tuning packages cannot find all of the relevant maps in S2/RS2 chips. I have been picking my way thru this nightmare for years now - utterly undocumented except to Bosch insiders and approved tuners.

I recently spent a long time teaching some tuning software I got about the S2/RS2 maps I know of. It was very tedious but worth it... That package was able to cope as it assumed zero knowledge and let me hand code where things are.

I have taken more steps very recently to reverse engineer the ECU even further... Lots of patience required and more grey hair assured along the way to understand further how all the various maps interact. I should really get out more
