We have made an enhancement so that old threads should now link from search results to the correct thread. This is not yet in place for single post links
After reading the chalenges others have had with ecu removal mine came out and went back in so easy.... too easy as it turns out as I now have no AC must have dislodged some cables and/or vacuum hoses when pushing the ecu back into place....
I bought the 3b switchable map years ago "homefry/economy" but have never actually used the switchable function. I thought it was just a case of connecting the two wires that come out of the ecu to a simple on/off switch but when i tried this it did not limit boost. Well i actually never got round to fitting a switch as I simply connected the two wires together first to test the switchable function but it made no difference to boost level.
