    Advise on oil pump.

Recently bought an oil pump for the RS2!

    Sellers description,

"New Oil Pump suitable for Audi RS2 and S2 ABY engine. Complete with box and bag, only removed for photo.

Think cost more than £200 + vat from dealer. Reserve is much less than this.

    Part number: 054 115 105E.

Check my other listings for Audi quattro related parts"

Item was well packaged up with babble wrap, original box and another cardboard box, which makes me think the seller knew about the damage to the pump before selling it

Please see pictures for the damage to the oil pump. It's pretty much ******ed i'm really pissed off

I don't think it can be used and not going to risk it, but i just wanted a 2nd opinion!

That can be used IMO, get a flat surface, sand paper, wet the sand paper with machine oil or WD40 and gently rub in a circular motion until it's flat.

Or the best option is use the new internals of that pump in your old pump housing

      maybe salvagable.

i found my new pump had a crappy surface anyway.

get some good instant gasket. it worked for me.

I did as Jamo said on mine to get it nice and flat. Also make sure you dismantle it first, i found a lot of grit inside mine.
