Factory alarm - How do you disable?

Hello gents, recently got myself a "Homefry". Car has had a mad fit, basically when we connected the battery it immediately started to lock/unlock itself repeatedly and the foglight switch now flashes red. It has never done this before! After removing fuse 19 from the main fusebox this allows the car to run and "knocks out" the central locking fault. From what i can gather the central locking pump is part of this factory burden sorry alarm! Please help, 3 months without "her" & i'm climbing the walls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure to be honest. I called in at my mates Autograph Cars who fitted the Clifford 10 years ago and told him about the factory alarm (not dealer fit) and he said he had never heard of it.

Your ECU is NON-immo type Raoul... And the ECU was tested AOK on mine before I sent it back. You must have some badness going on with other wiring... Could you have disturbed some cabling when removing / refitting the ECU.

On a Coupe of your vintage, the central locking pump controller and alarm unit are the same thing. Check out the wiring on http://S2central.net/S2_Schematics

The offending controller unit is behind the trim in the rear seat behind RHD drivers seat - bit of a batch to get to but not too bad - some partial disassembly of rear seat.

          you could try this

disconnect the battery for about 2mins and just reconnect and see if it's back to "normal", usually after battery connection the hazards should flash , push the button on remote and hazards should cancel.

or from the booklet, disconnect battery, turn ignition "on", reconnect battery, turn ignition "off", press remote button for 10 seconds.

just remember and stick the fuse back in before doing any of the above ...

sorry, I thought you had the factory standard keyfob, one button for arming/disarming, the other button was a panic button, I think a scorpion variant was the factory/dealer fitted alarm
