    Help needed with AAN ECU

When I bought my URS4, the previous owner hold told me the car was running with aftermarket chips, which he had replaced with the OE ones for the sale.
Upon opening up the ECU for a quick inspection it looked like a monkey had soldered the chips in.
So I ordered a couple more chips from Germany ebay(MTM apprantely)
Had the chip proffesionally installed with new carriers. I go to start the car and while the engine turns, there is no sign of the engine wanting to fire.

I should mention the car was sat for a least nine months beofre trying the ECU with the chips, so could there be a problem with the chips, or is there anything else anyone could suggest ie hall sender etc.

I did put fresh petrol in.

Have you checked the blade fuse (think it's 5amp) above the ecu in the footwell?

Real MTM chips have a "daughter" board, i.e. encryption board in which one of the chips sit. No encryption board = never ever going to work.

This is shown in this AudiWorld post:

They weren't MTM then. I will test the ECU in my S6 (when its back), if I can diagnose that the ECU is faulty, then I can look at having it fixed, or replacing it.
