    S2 aby when full boost?

    Hi guys.
Just looking arround, and cant seem to find when full boost should be at my aby?
It´s std right now with upgrade i/c
It makes 1,2bar in 4.gear @ 2400 rpm, isent that to late?
I mean if max torque is at 1900rpm then it should come in quicker shouldent it?

It also peaks up to 1,4bar but falls down to 1,2bar shortly after that

Doesn't sound standard to me.....sounds like it has been chipped as a stock ABY will only make 1.15Bar in overboost mode and 1.0bar without overboost.

I cannot comment on the rpm that full boost should be made on a stock car but my homefries setup makes full boost around the same rpm as yours. A much larger IC on a stock car could delay full boost slightly as you have more volume to pressurise, but I am sure an expert will be along shortly to confirm.

    Cheers n

As long as i´m aware it´s not chipped, the former owner put a bigger i/c on it cause he wanted to chip it, but i think someone has fettled with the boost somehow.
It shortly peaks up to 1,4bar, falls down to 1,1-1,2bar and ends on 0,7-0,8bar at 7k rpm

Check that someone hasn't messed around with mechanical wastegate - maybe a fatter spring in there. The chips I sent you will deliver approx 1.4bar from 2500rpm and that tails off to about 0.8bar at 7k... All done with software control of factory wastegate - and tweaked fuel & timing of course. A stiffer WG spring *might* be too much for my software and give you some bad behaviour when it trips excessive boost levels so please check that first.

Best thing to do is unplug the WGFV connector and take a drive... WIth factory WG setup you shouldnt see anything more than ~0.4bar boost. This is very conservative mechanical boost level set by the factory.

I do plan to tweak my software for those that prefer more mechanical contribution, but its going to be a while until I have that ready. Meantime, keep the WG stock.

So have done a bit testing now, boost without nj75 valve on is exatly 0,4bar and now after reconecting the nj75 boost is exatly 1,1bar faling to 0,8bar

Sounds pretty stock then... if seeing higher boost than 1.2bar then it is either chipped or is sucking in unmetered air - i.e. its getting in after the MAF.

The other scenario is a lazy/slow/old WGFV which isn't reacting quickly enough to ECU control - if its an old one then its good practise to replace it just in case.

Before i disconnected the nj75 it had a short peak up to 1,4bar for half a second, then it fell down to about 1,2bar, but is doesent do this now, so guess it´s a sligt faulty valve
