temporary loss of boost?! (in the pouring rain)

driving along the M25 this morning, lots of standing water/spray and p*ssing it down, went to accelerate and felt very slow!

did it again, and the boost guage full throttle in 3rd shows 0.4bar (guage measures -0.5 to +2.0) and i normally see 1.4bar

the cars standard apart from the MTM remap.

carried on driving into dartford, parked up to go to the bank, came back to the car 10 mins later.

driving off, full power restored, stright round to 1.4

any ideas whats caused this, dont want it to happen again!

WGFV? is the 0.4 mechanical boost?

Sounds like one of the sensors bombed out, the ECU goes to a safe map where you can only get 0.4 bar. Nothing to worry about unless it becomes an issue. If the car won't start then it's either the crank of cam hall sensor that's shagged.
