    Under bonnet temperatures

    Guys

What temperatures should I expect to see under the bonnet? I ask for two reasons:

    1. I'm trying to source some 8mm ID tubing for the wastegate and I can only get normal silcone (apart from Audi original) which is good for up to 180 c

    2. I'm looking to lacquer my RC and IM once they are cleaned and so far I can only find stuff that is heat resistant up to 150 c.

    Any advice/ideas?

    Thanks

the hose should be avaliable from samco without a problem.
i have a bloke who does rocker covers for me and he just uses coulered base coat and i have never yet had a problem with peeling or anything.
    hope this helps

Cheers mate. I'm being a bit dumb but what is coloured base coat is it acrylic paint?
