    Does the sump plug have a copper crush washer on the S2?

      Yes it does, buy both the washer and a new plug.

                    Washer = N 0438541 (size A26x31)
                    Sump plug = 059 103 193 (M26x1.5)

                    Consider a Fumoto drain valve. No more hanging off a 6' extension bar trying to get the stupidly tight welded on plug off, before rounding it off.

                          Ian - you must have the only S2 that doesn't have a sump plug that welds itself to the sump then... COnsider yerself lucky.

                            I always apply a small amount of Copper grease to the threads when replacing the sump plug. Seems to work as I never have a problem undoing the plug thereafter.

                            (Though I have indeed needed the breaker bar on occasion when doing the first oil change after buying a car!)
