    Wagner cast em benefits, #'s?

    hi guys,
I'm looking into getting the 034 rs2 ho/ evo manifold for my gt3071 on stock aan motor (wagner im also)
and I know many of you have had experience with the manni.

I've searched and searched and found that it flows much better, but I haven't been able to find any feedback really.

I'm basically curious as to if its worth purchasing this as a performance upgrade if I'm not going to try to run more boost than I currently am. we have the worst 91 octane gasoline from mexico in the world here in arizona, so detonation is quite prone.

can I expect a bump in hp with this? or just quicker spool?
or am I fine with my stock aan em with the turbo fully spooled by 3500 rpm?

    thanks,
    dustin

the RS2 EVO manifold having larger tubes and almost same configuration with the RS2 EM,will slightly get it to spool later. The 3071R likes to spool fast and early BUT as soon as you try that,it surges. So you end up with later spool to avoid the surging. The RS2 EVO manifold from carsten is the best way to go in any case though, cause it can support even higher applications and it will last you a looooong time.

      EGT's EGT's and EGT's

Your EGT's will be way lower on cylinder 1 & 5 compared to the stock I5 therefore making the engine safer

There is no way on earth I'd run a 3071 on a stock manifold, that's just asking to burn valves when pushed.

The manifold will be less restrictive so while the spool might be 50-100 rpm more the power will be better IMO.

i think once you get to a level what will be found is it will spool just as fast. the flow will be there but not to the level of a tubular which is aimed at top end performance. this is turbo size dependant of course.

probly right there jamo a negligable 50 rpm. a click of the fingers in time.

here in SPain the minimun is 95oct and the max 98 octane

herte the people says that maybe the best fuel it´s from SHELL V POWER 98

ontopic... i have the Wagner RS2 evo EM and only i have very good words for it (for the moment)

Yeah, it's a different meaasure. RON, MON and PON

For 3071 the Wagner EM is ideal as it retains everything in stock position. If you're not too worried about this then a proper tubular is an option but these have thier problems with cracking, support brackets and extra lag.

no, the yanks use another way of measuring the octane number. It can't be 1 on 1 compared to the octane nr.'s we have here.

                edit: like andy said

PON 91 = RON 95. Still not ideal, nice to get some Tesco 99 in mine when I can, it feels grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat Guess octane booster is the only option.

my main concern with the stock aan em is cylinder 1, 5, how they go to pretty much no where. that's gotta put some odd strains on the motor like you said Jamo....

wow, I had no idea it would spool later with better flow, but all imput taken in, it sounds like a good idea no matter what. as for the tubular, I was thinking of the 034 tubular manifold, but then I'd need a new turbo line kit, downpipe, etc...... and its a daily, so cracking isn't too ideal.

looks like 034/wagner it'll be. thanks for all the comments.

I'm not too sure if our gas is measured differently than from over seas, but as the states go, Arizona gets the worse gasoline out of them all. Some other places are still able to get up to 95 on a regular basis, but here its either 91 (which is on par with 89 in all other areas as we have so many b/s emission additives). I can occasionally go to a few pumps and get some race fuel, 110 octane, to cheer the car up, but thats for a hefty price.

tubulars are fine, i run one. personally id run a bigger turbo than the 3071 if you go tubular otherwise the benifits may beocme a hinderance.

your fuel will be ok. if its like the us look for something like sunco 94. its better than the 99ron talked about over here.
