It's quite easy to see but not so much to get to. Famous last words but it's not leaking...

Mine came apart on a hot French autoroute last year, about 700kms from home. Had to bypass the whole heater circuit, but it got me home OK.

I think the key is not to over tighten the clips. Bloody plastic. On the up side the French dealer had them in stock and it was less than 4 euros.

You can still get the metal one? And there's me trying to trying to restore and preserve my original 3B one. I chucked the ABY plastic crap in the bin.
What's this about an ali one?

I put one on order but its on back order... usual!

Andy, the other one goes in the heater pipe, the one from the water rail.

Hiya Rob, if you do make a batch put me down for 1 of each. I think with 220,000miles mine will be a candidate for failing when you least need it of course!

you're right, that's the main reason for failures, BTDT 3 days after tightening the clip the plastic connection blew into pieces.

                        Access is easy.
The one on the back of the block has 6mm headed hex head bolt holding it in.

and nice work rob, looks like a good solution to a potential problem with the age of some of these cars.
