    Garrett Turbo Downpipe studs

What studs have garrett turbo owners used to the downpipe?

I noticed the size is 8mm where as the OEM turbo uses 10mm studs.

Have people used the 8mm studs but how about the OEM downpipe hole size which is 10mm? just bolted it on tight?

    Hey Jamo,
Sounds like you're getting mighty close to finishing. Are you going to update your thread with some more pics soon? I'm sure everyone is waiting to see the latest progress.
Good luck and hope to see you and the car soon.
    Cheers

I've only fitted it with a modified downpipe - no problems I was aware of, used the stock studs though. You wanna swap, offers still here

Out of interest - have you managed to get the stock flexipipe to take up the difference? My 3" has been re-designed slightly to fit a Garrett using the stock bit by the way, so I think I'm going to have to do the opposite on the weekend to get it to fit! (i.e. compress it and bend it slightly).

my precision is garret based. i use bolts not studs.

all flanges were custom made for me though. the original system went in the scrap.

          Lets get it going mate!

No my hotside doesn't accept stock studs only the 8mm ones. Think it's because it's the 30r range

I've got a spare standard flexi mate as I have 2 wastegates

i will have a look. they are normal bolts. its a 5 bolt hotside mine.

the exhaust place used them. i lost one so got a normal bolt and chopped it to size.

still not sorted any pics have i.

when do you need it jamo? they are m8 length about 35mm. flange is about 15mm. ill pop one out if you need me to. ive had no issues other than the odd loose bolt but thats normal when jobs first done. now its fine.

it makes removal much easier with a 3" pipe too. you can slide it around more. i am gasket free also the flanges were so good. shame my manifold is playing up. bloody tubulars and bracing for you.
