    RS2 MAF - setup?

My new RS2 MAF arrived yesterday (pretty quick too as they said ten days and only ordered it last Saturday) an was full of intentions of fitting it today - is there anything that needs to be done differently when fitting this item compared to the S2 MAF, is it simply a straight swap?

Thanks, just made the swap, nice and easy bar one nut turning, other than that ten minute swap!
However... It seems to have made the car run worse!!! It's not hitting a brick wall at 3.5k rpm at which point it coughs and splutters away refusing to rev any further! Quick switch back to the old S2 item and it rev's a further thousand, and unplugged altogether it'll rev to 6k.

I did notice that on the female part of the connector that a metal contact piece was missing, the end one, is there supposed to be one there? Could someone do a quick check to ensure there's a gold connector in each pin hole?

I've checked all the hoses I can without stripping them off and I can't see any boost leaks, so any ideas what this could be?

There are only 4 connectors on the MAF plug as I looked at mine th other day and was suprised also . Reset your ECU by removing the battery cable for a couple of hours. Can't hurt. I'd be checking the plugs, boots and coils if I were you or indeed POSs.

Left the battery disconnected for the night, it's too dark and cold out there to bother connecting it back up - as for the coils and plugs, will try and check them this week but they seemed good last they were checked, but then again so was the maf lol

The joys of running a 16yr old motor, certainly keeps me on my toes!!
