huge oil leak, turbo oil feed pipe

Have had some serious issues recently with the s2 Avant, dead engine mounts, snapped engine mount bracket, cracked exhaust manifold....

finally replaced all the parts, put everything back together started her up, ran perfectly, well apart from the oil p*ssing out of the top of the turbo!

pulled it all apart again, gasket looked screwed, didnt have anther one, so set about making one from a new inlet manifold gasket from a 16v golf (same thickness and material) put it all back together, tightened it back up, same again, but not as much oil this time!

    any suggestions?

is it likely ive broken the oil pipe where it joins the turbo, or should i just try and get a genuine gasket see if that works?

could i have over tightened it? to loose?

I would take it off again ..as i had the same issue with my 3B ...make sure both contact areas are spotless..any resin or piece of the last gasket left will make it leak as i found out .....Would check the pipe to just in case you have damaged it ....Is it top or bottom feed?

its the feed pipe, on top of the turbo, nice and easy to get to, will do as you say, whip it off again and give it a good going over with the razor blade.

Im pretty sure my home made gasket should be prerfecly ok though, it was very time consuminingly cut out and hole punch for the studs...
