What size Pistons?

What is the biggest diameter piston/bore people have used on an ABY block.

I am aware the head gasget will need enlarging over 82.5mm.

You can get oversize Mahle pistons for the ABY, and these are 81.5mm. Standard size is 81mm

I dont think 81.5 will be enough to remove the damaged bore.

What is the biggest size people have used.

83? 83.5?

83mm is the biggest you can use. Over that not enough metal inbetween the bores.

82.75mm would be better, gives you one last overbore to 83mm if required.

034 do off the shelf so to speak in those sizes, personally I'd get some from Aelred

with 82´75mm ,wich will be the displacement in our originals 2226 blocks??

7A engine.

Has a cc of 2309, so a 3b/aby with 82.75mm bore will a little bit more...think it could be 2400cc approx.

Have to work it out properly...too early in the morning...

biggest size is 83mm,i went for 82.5 je ones...i have a spare block on standard size if you get stuck
