weired ticking sound from the engine.

My UrS6 has weired ticking sound from the engine.
I don't think the sound's from the lifters.I also experienced
this kinda sound once year ago.one of the spark plug was cracked.
the symptom 's likely off and on.ie,I leave the car idle for a while
then the ticking is on.I havn't properly wired on the coils as I just replaced
1-2 coils.so just leave them there and get the car to run first:mischeif:.
the F5DPOR has 10,000-20,000 Kms.Do you think it could have one of them
getting bad again?the AAN motor's also pretty fresh. Can the low on the motor
    oil could cause ticking sound?

Check that the oil level is at the top and if it continues then try a little WD40 (or equivalent) on the PAS pump belt.

          Low oil = noisy tappets.

            Bingo!! mates.My 12,000 KMs F5DPOR has gone.I experienced this before on the Cyl#2.Now it's on Cyl#5.
year ago,I experienced kinda ticking noise.the sound is likely the tappet lifter valves.but the point is the sound
comes out randomly no matter on hot or cold engine.I STFA on AW forum.I found someone there has been experienced on the bad spark plugs. So I just had a look on it.Yup,I got it.the spark plugs is bad.
the white part on the spark plugs come loosing.it can turn around freely. So the spark is short to ground. Finally, the it causes the ticking noise like the tappets bone dried. So I ordered the new 5 F5DPORs from the dealer.the ticking noise is gone. But Who gotta think the 12,000 KMs on the spark plugs will be bad shortly again??? but me.Here we go again.the symptom is the same.the white ceramic comes lossing again.:-( So I replaced the spark plug with the
good one.Amazingly, the ticking noise is gone!!!!Yeehaaa!.Mates I'd say no more on Bosch F5DPOR.I heard someone
mentioned about the NGK spark plugs. Please let me know if you guys know about the NGK spark plugs.

NKGs suck IMHO, but some poeple swear by them... you'd want the Iridium ones... or you could try some Denso IK22s or IK24s
