Cleaning the engine head & intake manifold

    Hi there,

Re my RS2 the top of the engine and manifold are off the car right now and we are considering cleaning or shot blasting these and then sealing them. Has anyone tried this and did it work it did they return to a grey dull off colour again?!

(I'm not technical but I am talking about the two blocks at the top of the engine that read Audi and Porsche!).

    Many thanks,

    Simon

clean them down a mix of petrol and white sprit, then dishwasher (youll need be sneaky here) and then use a metal polish of them using mix dermal, drill and hand to buff, then i guess make last a good 2-pac lacquer

Please try bead blasting, that will give a much nicer finish
