    Oil Pressure switch

That oil pressure switch is a PITA to get too, i'd noticed a few drops of oil on the garage floor so of came the under tray and what a mess, there was oil everywhere, I had read that these were prone to leaking but theres not a lot of room in there.
I know since I dont have air con it probably would have been easier to remove the main radiator but since I did the "rocker cover" last year I've needed to clean the IM too, so of it came.
This gives great access once youve removed that plastic cowling, it wasnt that hard either as i'd bought a long allen key of ebay,
So of it went to get bead blasted and powder coated (£35) I cleaned all the block with gunk and hosed down and while I had good access I took the opportunity to change the two small water hoses and the thermostat as well as the pressure switch.
I flushed the cooling system out several times and re filled with G12 plus plus, I replaced the IM gasket and the throttle body to IM gasket with new ones.
My only **** up in all this is that the powder coaters informed me that the inserts in the IM where the injectors sit in were plastic and would probably melt in the oven, when I tried to remove them they just crumbled, the only way I could get then out in the end was to melt them with a blow torch and replace with new ones.
All the bits weren't that exspensive and the stealers where quite helpfull,
All in all I'm glad I did it now but its not just as simple as replacing a £6 pressure switch, But nothing ever is on these cars

excellent work, also changed the same pressure switch as you this weekend on the cab. Very satisfying firing the old girl and up and not seeing anything dribbling put onto the floor. Nowt worse than an old girl with a dribbly bottom
    Good work
