    sheared bolt on engine cover

    Argh
Thought I'd change the sparkies today. An easy, straightforward, simple job for any spanner-newbie.
    I have 3B.

One of the plastic hex screw bolts that holds the black plastic cover which goes over the spark plugs has sheared off at the top, so now I can't get the damn thing off :bash:

Anyone BTDT with this? Any suggestions for how to get the bolt off? Are these things sold separately?

These are special bolts dude. £4.50+VAT each!!!! Let me quess the plastic brke up leaving nothing to grip?? Use a hammer and small chisel and just ease the bolt round. Remove and discard the old bolt, use an M6 std bolt with a washer. Loads cheaper and looks just as good. I have now bought 4 of those little things and they dont last ten minutes.

That's exactly what happened - the plastic bit on the top sheared off, revealing the metal flat top of the bolt head underneath
