    Intake temperature

    Hi everyone!

    Is there any possibility to get a reading of the intake temperatur using either VAG-COM or some special gauge/tool/equipment from the standard intake temp. sensor??

    Feels a bit unnecessary to buy an intake sensor and gauge just to see what difference the bigger IC will have.

    Sure is with VAG-COM - but not on a 3B engine !

    VAGCOM is more expensive than a temp guage though...

    Checkout http://S2central.net and follow links to TECHNICAL chapter then you'll see links to Engine or Diagnostic info - that lists all the data on the ABY and ADU engine which can be read with VAG-COM.

    VAG-COM will let you log this info to a PC file for analysis.

      Blind as a bat??

      Ahhh thanx. I´ve got the VAG-COM but obviously have not taken the time to investigate the full potential of it Now I´m off to test intake temperatures
