well the issue is fixed. engine is runnnig sweet again.

shame the brand new behr radiator lasted about 20 minutes.

Glad it's running again but that sucks.. ususally it's the nissens ones that people have issues with! I have a new Behr rad myself that i though was causing issues, think it was just old coolant but I've not had chance to give it a proper stress test... hope there wasn't a bad batch!

maybe. pete has been great and is sending a replacement.

massive steam clouds within 10 minutes or so. constant dripping from bottom of rad closes to engine. maybe running doen from top its hard to tell.

cars not had any water in it for a few weeks so not old coolant. i tested it twice and both times steam before the stat was open. even with cap off the expansion tank.

my old radiator looked 10+ years old its all black with metal end tanks painted black too. pete tells me that this is not standard. any ideas if S2 came with full metal rads. i must say the old one looks a lot higher quality.
