What power do you want? 350-380 is the easiest to achieve, search for the RS2 upgrade projects by Newsh, DarrenM, Sonic and a few others. Above that you'll certainly need a bottom end rebuild on a 3B. Also need to make sure that the chassis and brakes are up to scratch otherwise

    Good luck...

How about for an ABY? What turbo number am I looking for as I have a friend who manages to turn things up like this quite easily.

What model number is an RS turbo??? When friends work for Voodoo motorsport I get lots of chances for fun toys for my car

Do a search for RS2 Turbo here - its all there chaps... Denomination of turbo is actually K24-7200 though it has some/many K26 sized parts...
There are pics on threads of the KKK manufacturing plate with part numbers that are correct for RS2 Turbo.

To go RS2 spec properly you need the following...

        RS2 Turbo (duhh)
RS2 intercooler (or bigger/better such as Wagner)
RS2 injectors (Bosch parts rated at 360ccpm on 3bar)
RS2 exhaust manifold (or better such as Wagner)
4bar fuel pressure regulator (stock on ABY or AAN, but on the 3B swap in the 4bar FPR from 7A engine)
Metal head gasket is required (stock on late AAN or ABY)
And last but not least a new set of chips to make it all run right... Expect 340-380bhp depending on boost level programming and such
On 3B engines the big-end bearings need uprates to stronger ones from ABY/AAN/RS2

Cheers I will be straight on the search! What happens If i put on just a bigger turbo?? Im not clued up on these things. Im more of aircooled background. Would I be right in assuming no boost til later on then massive lag again?

Get clued up, there's loads of info on here, forewarned is foreawmed and all that. Just bolting a bigger turbo on will not wok well, you need to have everything at the same level to get good results. Everything in Paul's list above (and more) will need to be matched to the turbo and the turbo chosen for power and torque considerations.

If you intend on going 320+ I recommend ditching the laggy KKK turbos and go for a smallish Garrett. The GT28RS flows around the same as the RS2 turbo and will run on the same fueling and cooling. Will require a T3 or T25 manifold, though, depending on your exhaust housing- I don't know who, off the top of my head, makes them, though.

I spotted a rebuilt GT28RS up on UK Ebay about a week ago for £350-odd, which is a fair bit cheaper than the RS2 turbo.
