    3B or ABY?

3B = goodbye to the cats.

ABY - better to get a sports cat, will mean that it'll fly through the MOT then.

I'd get the OE DP cut before the Y piece and a 3" link pipe put all the way to the centre silencer. You can then have a de-cat pipe made and either a 3B cat modded to fit in place or a sports cat fitted.

Decat will give a tad more power although I was ruinning 297bhp on a set of OE cats and OE DP, made a difference going 3" tho.

Fairly sure I get slightly earlier spool-up since cats went! Seems a few people on here still pass mots without them unall

its an ABY so sounds like a sport cat then sounds like big buks will have to change the clutch as well its a stock one still. i dont no what power i got but slips iff i pull away with full beans.

Clutch is the same as an RS2 so will take way over 300.

Sports cat and link pipe will cost about £300.

Get a homefries in there too, you'll love the difference.

Not for all of us....in theory i need to retain mine..sport cat or verified removal of them if it will definately pass the emissions check hopefully quite soon. Local garage has said they will happily measure with and without to see how cloe to passing it is without them.

Sport cats at 100 or 200 cells are pretty close to the same throughput as not having one on at all, so probably legally the best way to achieve a decent result.

my aby coupe is running a straight thru pipe from turbo to back box,,,,,its much better than stock and it pops and bangs loads with the occasional flame too.
Also running a homefry and race air box by bmc so im reckoning on about 300 bhp and it peaks at 1.5 bar

Mine passed MOT with output of 0.73% CO and 191 HC, up from 0.089 and 38. Doesn't seem right...

Crap clutch. An OE clutch will take all manner of abuse

It's a pig of a job. Watched an experienced mechanic do mine and it too a few hours. Need to be strong too, box weighs 100kg ish.
