    Original Bosch MAF

Hey guys & gals. I just thought I'd let you know that I found a place who can get hold of Bosch MAFs for the S2 at £119 all inclusive.

Im not sure if any of you have dealt with htis guy before but I've just recieved mine and I'm really happy with it. It's definately original bosch. Allparts were looking for around £200 and Audi quoted me £219 + VAT. Anyway, if your fine with replacing the old one with another S2 version then I'd highly reccomend them. I do hope no one has had any bad dealings with him as I'm well pleased with the price and service.

    Chow.

Cheers for that, seems like a good price to me. Be interesting to see if hte RS2 MAF price was in the same ballpark...

Brand new, it seems. I didn't have to send in my old unit, I've still got that somewhere. Unless it was from their stockpile of reconditioned units and they didn't need any more old ones then I'd like to think its new. It came in sealed Boch packaging straight from Bosch themselves.

        Its not stopped working yet....

Great price indeed! I recently changed mine for an RS2 item at a cost of £190 all in from Audi (mates discount helped!), but the prices of an S2 item was a little higher than that. The sickening thing is, it wasn't the original maf that was broke - so if anybody needs one cheap, its got 128k mile on it then drop me a PM.

Is emissioncontrols able to get hold of the RS2 item? Or is the V6 item the way to go now, I recall seeing some threads with good reviews about them..?

Do NOT dive into the V6/VR6 MAF... There is insufficient data on it - I want to try one some day when datalogging is up and running.

Thanks for this tip I just recieved my new MAF from this guy in the post - havent been able to drive the S2 for 4 weeks... .

It was £150 + £20 postage (to Australia) which ended up almost exactly 1/3 ! of what it would have cost me from Audi Australia , and that still would have been ex Gernamy and a 3 week wait...

For the record though the MAF I got is a remanufactured 'exchange' item but I dont have to send my old one in. Comes in a new Bosch box with 'eXchange' logos on it and has a sticker on the part saying 'Remanufactured in Germany' (by Bosch) . Other than the stickers you couldn't tell visually that its not brand new. Hopefully I'll be again soon!
