RS2 oil cooler - how to clean?

    Hi

I have the front bumper off and I see that about 40% of the fin area of the oil cooler is like...well, solid oily sand/dust/mud? I am working on getting the plastic "funnel" off so I can get closer to it but once I can actually get in there - what is best way to clean it?

    Any tips apreciated

    Thanks

            Yes! It's only thin aluminium.

Saturate it with "Gunk" engine cleaner and then hose it down with water from inside the engine comparment forcing the water forwards to push all the gunk out towards the front.

You don't have to take the "funnel" off if you don't want to.

use a vacuum cleaner, you will find the oil cooler falls apart if there has been muck in there for a long time. all the best steve

If it needs more than petrol or another strong degreaser to clean it

It probably needs to be replaced
