    the RE2500 thread!

Ok,.. thought it best to start a new thread on this.. so hear goes.

I'll think up the questions as i go along

    first and foremost..
Is this a solid lifter engine? as i'm about to buy a schrick 272 camshaft for it.

& is the cam that lives in it at the moment still a standard KV profile item?

    cheers.

When I had it it was still just a normal cam with hydraulic lifters i think

However Geordie is the bloke to speak to as he had it rebuilt, so not sure.

I was sure this engine had solid lifters as it was sold to me as such.

If i just take the rocker cover off is there a visual way to tell if the lifters are solid or hydro?

I seem to remember Geordie said he put solid lifters in, but i'm not 100% sure. It didn't when I had it, but he rebuilt the head and I remember him mentioning them.

He is RE2500 on here, so try a PM. I would ring him for you but the sheep with the Antenna has probably moved...
