Would be great if you could get that setup on the dyno - or a GTech even...

Once i have the MOT done ill get it on the dyno. My old S4 had 350hp and i think it is probably a bit faster than that.

I'd expect you to be in ~450Nm and ~350bhp territory.

A 350bhp S2 is gonna feel faster than same powered UrS4 cos of weight and gearing in my opinion.

Out of interest - say from 2000rpm in 4th gear cruise... then WOT - when does it hit max boost at 1.5bar ?

To be honest Paul im not sure, I think it is around 3k rpm. The S4 i had was the B5 2.7T but with a few tweaks dyno'd at 345hp. My next step is a new downpipe as i still have the standard one. How much torque is that in pound per foot?

              LOL at my UrS4 assumption...

450Nm is circa 330lbft. You might be better than that with your exhaust mods, but the airbox is definitely something you should consider. I was amazed how much I could feel on ABY N-Stream going to the RS2 airbox - it just breathes better. I think on G-Tech run comparisons the benefit was 5-7bhp or thereabouts... Would need to look it up.

Ill look into the RS2 airbox. Problem is there so expensive? Anyone got one laying about they want to sell?

                  Steve,

Really glad to hear this has all come together! I'm assuming the 1.5bar setup is to retain the 2.5bar MAP sensor? Do you have any plans to upgrade an get an extra bit of mid-range boost?

Glad the issue was a simple one, never actually had this happen to me yet but i carry a small kit around in case i ever need to replace a jubilee clip at the road side

RS2 airboxes are rare, i foolishly sold mine on the cheap to a very grateful Mike - he had cash and at the time i needed the money I sold mine for 150 and i think they're nearly twice that new! I'm going to mod my ABY airbox to Rusty-spec too, as soon as I get my hands on a 4" bass port...

Enjoy the car and let us know how you get on with RS2-spec, 'tis a distant dream for me now!

                  Cheers

My airbox is hilarious, the whole front is gone and there are about 20 off 16mm holes down the cold side, sounds mean Can't hurt breathing but will be more susceptable to hot air ingestion, even though all the OE heat shields are in place... It sounds better than a cone on WOT and you get a nice woosh on lift-off from the DV. It's not hurt the performance over a stock item, if anything it at least sounds faster. Much cheaper than an RS2 'box but without testing, no idea how it measures up.

Many moons ago I blew that hose off the car about 2 miles from home (first WOT after some messing about) and ended up getting it back on after a long time, some very grazed knuckles and some burnt fingers. Now it's simple, no plastic in the way... pop the headlight out (4 screws + the trim) and it's the easiest job ever, takes 5 mins to change the DV now

I decided to go witht he more modest 1.5bar option to keep the 2.5bar map sensor as they are so expensive at the moment. I do have plans to get the rods etc changed, when i have that done ill get the map sensor changed and a more aggressive map to get the best out of the RS2 turbo. Not sure if i am brave enough to cut my airbox up, but hopefully i will find an RS2 item at a decent price at some point. Got the MOT coming up and now my dash lights dont work The joys of S2 ownership
