    ABY coil wires

Hi, I am plugging an ABY motor into a urq on an aftermarket ECU and need to know which coil wire pin goes to which cylinder. There appears to be two set of wires coming from under the black coil cover. A two pin and 3 pin connector all with white wires and a two & three pin with brown wires. I am guessing 5 are coil positive and 5 negative.

Can someone with an ABY help by letting me know if the wires on the mating connector to the ones shown in the images are different colours and if so what are they. I can then use a wiring diagram to figure the rest out.

    Any help appreciated, thanks.

Hint... those plugs with 3 pins fitted are for cyls 1-2-3
The ones with 2-pins used are cyls 4 & 5

Thats helpful, thanks. One point though. The jpeg of the 5 coils contradicts the thought that the 3 pin connector is for cylinders 1-3, for the yellow wires. It suggests the 2 pin is for cylinders 1 & 5? any idea which is correct.

Not sure which jpg you are refering to but the connectors with 3 wires and pins are for cylinders 1,2 and 3 and the ones with only 2 wires are for 4 and 5.

Not to scare you but you might want to use Pauls POS pdf to confirm that the 2 pin purple connector is wired correctly. Sometimes pins are swapped to make use of the spare POS channel when an original 4 or 5 channel dies. (This involves the four position but only three pin-populated ECU to POS connector as well).
