Didn't someone tell you that brown cars simply cannot go that fast - its proven scientific fact - LOL... Good luck with 10k rpm though :rock

Paul, ye of no (Yankee) faith.... you guys say a GT35R is big, its small for my 4cyl motor....

10k RPM is going to be fine. destroked bottom end, rod ratio of 1.74..... girdle, billet mains, blueprinted head, zero-balanced block.

      solid lifer Billet cams....

some people over here know what they are doing

      stock left, mine right.

Ahh - I wasn't casting any dispersions on your abilities there... sure looks like you have done your homework. Just wishing you best of luck with the motor build. A 20V 4-pot at 10k would be pretty sweet... Opens up all sorts of possibilities when you can rev that high.

Remember to post dyno plots when it's the time.

I bet revving to 10K is pointless. Not saying it won't, but still, does it do any good that high?

Not the expert here on 'big boy' engines but surely 10k is good if the turbo and cams are efficient up at those levels to create huge power. But then if it only starts to make decent power at 6k as a result then it *might* be a bit pointless - though for drag strips it might be the right answer.... Tricky one. I'd say cams and turbo selection are critical here. Proof is in dyno plots and timing slips though.

same here no expert but if the hondas are anything to go by then maybe. the lighter chassis and 2wd of the the honda may be an asset here though.

is this a similar engine to marc euroroccoT on vwsport. he's moved on from the 16v to a 20v now too. pulling some good low 9's i believe.

seen some good results from the bullseye turbos. gonna go with a billet precision when the next upgrade comes as i like my sc61.

good to see you on this forum. your experiences and journey on this project will be interesting.

thanks.... Marc and i talk often.... he is right now just hit 9.19 @ 162mph. that is FWD. may 31st he should very likely break the 8 sec time zone. his turbo is 368AX, it was custom made for him. it is the only (so far) T3 368....

motors are similar, yes. but FWD is not cutting it for me any longer.

he is not revving it out, and i will not rev it out past what i need to either. i can run 45psi boost if i need to, but i dont want to if its not necessary. i want the ability to if it is required though, same with the revs. my projected power range is 5k to 9500.

Nervas: that Motec diagram is a good picture for what this thread is about.... and great descriptions of each part as well.

Nice Motec info there... my efforts look about right then - except for the filters, but thats good info. Pump sizing declared in lbs/hr though - just to create more maths problems and unit conversions - yet they talk about injector sizing in ccpm. Nothing like continuity.

                            here we are again:

my mate that had 550-600whp run his 770cc injectors over 80% duty cycle. so i will try 1200cc, i know it will go a bit fat on the low revs, but i dont really care about the idle. i will rather try with too big injectors than to small.

the aeromotive will be put lower down that the catch tank also.

where can i buy black an fittings in the Us and a? ( borat style )

                              black fittings @ www.summitracing.com

the coupe project of mine all fuel is black/purple, and vac stuff is red/blue. rabbit the whole car is red/blue....

the Fuelab FPR is -6AN or -10AN? hope you went -10AN with adapts so you do not have restrictions... also a good idea (per Aeromotive instruction) to use 100 micron filter pre pump and 10 micron filter post pump.

the fpr was 6-an when i bought it but if i change the an fittings to 8-an i wont be a problem? since the fpr itself has a lot more flow rate than an 8-an hose?
