ABY bottom end on ebay

There's a block complete with pistons, rods etc on ebay that a friend of mine is interested in buying. I've sent the seller a couple of emails through ebay but had no reply (would like to arrange to see the stuff before deciding to buy). Was just wondering on the off chance that anyone on here might know the seller?

Get the full spec on the pistons...as that is 3 rebores up on a aby?

Good buy at that price if its true...believe i know.

The guy got back to me yesterday with a phone number. Not sure exactly what you mean by "3 rebores up"?

One rebore is normally 20 thou or 0.5MM, the aby block is 81MM as standard and its now at 82.5MM.

So 3 rebores.

Don't be fooled by the "hardened RS2 bearing and rod shells" statement as they are no different to many normal bearing shells found in most Audi engines

So 3 rebores.

81mm then 81.25mm then 81.50mm then 81.75mm as this is the size of the overbore pistons sold by Mahle.

If it's 82.5mm pistons i'd be wanting to know what headgasket he's used in it.

I also notice on ebay the same turbo he is selling is available new for 200 quid from somewhere in america. Is it me or does that seem unusually cheap??

I was emailing with seller 3 weeks ago, and we discussed the cost of whole engine. Both agreeded with part list, cost, shiping cost, he asked adress for shiping...and he is not replying anymore... maybe he changed mind for local pickup only...anyway he is not holding his word!!!
