what sort of noise was it? Was it a high pitch squeeling noise? Aelred has heard it and seemed to think it was not the turbo as it would have gone by now.

Any ideas what this squeeling is? Having said that full boost has transformed this car!
Stevie... Please get the fuel pump out of your head... The S2 pump is adequate for RS2 performance levels - even with the ECU upgrade. Obviously a tired old pump performing below spec is not going to cut it but a healthy one is fine.

I think your squeelies are more likely these O-rings on the injectors - there is a way to test in isolation but would take some disassembly of the inlet manifold then seal up the inlet ports so that air pressure coming in from the throttle body should test the injector O-rings.

The turbo is a new element of course and should not be discounted.

If it were the turbo would you not get it at low boost even 10psi for example? You surely would get some wine or something? This happens only at the higher boost levels between 18-21psi the higher the boost the louder the squeel

Which is why I think it is Orings... (or maybe a seal inside the turbo) - when pressure exceeds a certain level the air starts to escape with the accompanying whistle.

If its the turbo seals leaking air is this a potential disaster? How easy is it to replace the turbo seal?

Its not a diy job... would expect any turbo specialist could quickly spool this up for a test - before and after...

Ok maybe worth getting the turbo off at some point and getting it tested

change the orings @injectors before IMO, not that much money, and when they are done, 1 less thing that could break soon

I have the or ings from S-Express on here. Not sure how you go about changing them without stretching them. Do u just stretch onto the injector?
