what box with engine help!

just a quick one does anyoneknow if a 4cyl audi engine ie 1.8t will bolt to a 5cyl quattro gearbox, i know some may say whats the point so reason is,
my mate has a 600hp 1.9 4cyl 16v engine and needs to fit it into a quattro car
we have looked and one problem is starter position , the small blocks dont have starter housing on the back, we can get round this , any ideas or coments

You need a gearbox from one of the four cylineder 80 quattros, ie 80 or 90 16v Q. VW four pot motors should mate up no problem with the right clutch combination.
