Garret gt3076r or gt3071r ?

I have a doubt and would like to know from their experience in preparing my engine 8:1 compression forged pistons and scat vielas more things for my project and would like to know if a turbo garrett gt3076r is too strong for about 400 hp or less as I have another turbo gt3071r

3071 can make full boost at 3600rpm - 3076 will do it at 4400rpm in my experience.
Both turbos will do 400hp easily.

3076 r = 500-550 bhp
3071 r = 400 - 450 bhp

If you want 400 bhp go for the 3071r not the 3076r

Hi RSJ, it is nice to read you here. ¿Have you installed the new rods and pistons? ¿How do they work? Like Faheemo and Jamo say, I would also use the GT3071. As a smaller turbo you will have boost earlier and if you want 400hp it should be more than enough. Cheers .

Go for the 3071.

Turbos are not something you want to grow into.. if you have set your HP wish at 400 you want the smallest turbo you can to achieve this figure. This will give you the widest power band within your 400 expectation.
