Blowing noise

Hi Guys

For the last few weeks I have been hearing a blowing noise at medium to high revs. My mechanic found today that the accordian hose that goes into the turbo is damaged and needs replacing. How difficult is this to do? Is the pipe itself expensive? Are there any electronic bits connected to this pipe?

Its a common problem on 3bs. Just ask Tom (audiman) - he goes through them like they're going out of fashion.

Not too dificult to replace and not too expensive. Give Martyn at VAG Parts a call. He'll make sure you get the correct part cheaper than your local "stealer".
