get a boost gauge on there and see what power your doing.

only ford mondeo i'd presume might be it is a st220 but that would be close.

It's true... when we got ours, within a week, it ruptured the waistgate diaphram... And it was making something silly like 180bhp... After this was sorted, the boost tested, and several minor mods/repairs later, it nearly killed me with the shock of driving it home with an RR proved 100+bhp more....

You dont want to thrash it too much while its got a leak anyway.
Once the leaks are sorted get it chipped, then you can really show him

Mk1 Mondeo v6's are a bit of a street sleeper, only visible difference is a v6 badge on each side. A friend had one pushing 200hp and it was an even match to my 7A flat through the gears. On each gear change he would pull half a car length with the extra torque of that 2.5 litre in the midrange, but by the red line i had made the difference back up, then repeat through the next gear and so on. They dont like to rev, its all midrange. Later model ST's were 3l and had more power but they had body kits so you would know to look at them. My guess you met a tuned mk1 V6 with LX bades on it

didn't glen chamberlain have them on his car as well?

one thing to remember are you running stock brakes as once the powers sorted it WILL show the brakes up very quickly.

Sadly there is no one specific fix, it could be a number of things!

E30 BMWs have all sorts of things under the bonnet these days.
