When i read some of the description of people selling their RS2,they like to go on about how rare the PORSCHE & AUDI car is.What i want to know is how many were built and how many are actually on the road now?
[SIGPIC][SIGPIC]/SIGPIC]92 3B pearl white=gone back home to Germany, probably in bits and pieces
Here is something that maybe could answer your question.
Approximately 2200 RS2s were to be built initially, but due to demand the total was 2891 cars built. Of these, only 180 were right hand drive cars built for the UK market.

Cheers pkbh,is just the fact that alot of people goes on about the 180 that were built in right hand drive. So if you don't know anything about these cars, you start to believe it.But then there are alot more left hand drive around.

Thats right.
In Germany alone, there is only about 285 Audi RS2's still driving. In Denmark where i live, there were only 1 RS2 imported originaly back in 1995. And there is about 10 til 15 RS2 in Denmark now. And i think thats its only 3 or 4 of them thats registered to drive on the public roads, because og Denmark's insane car tax policy. You have to pay 3 times as much, as you would in the UK just to drive it.
There's a guy in Switzerland, that specializes in taking Audi RS2's appart. I think that he has "killed" about 60 or more of them.
There was a thread on a site asking the same recently David (poss here ) and the general thinking was possibly approx half of those remain on the road. The S2s are quite a rarity themselves.
S2 + RS2 yep ive had a few love em... Laser red S2 avant... Brilliant black lhd RS2... Polar silver RS2... RS blau RS2... CheeRS Al
