Should there be continuity through the oil pressure switch when the engine is running on 95 urs6 aan?
Ive got continuity with ignition on without engine running but lose continuity when engine fires up and is running. Is this correct?
Thanks
Gav
It depends which oil pressure switch you're talking about. The one on it's own has no continuity when the engine is stationary and goes short circuit when the oil pressure reaches about 2 bar. The one in the oil pressure sender unit has continuity when the engine is stationary and goes open circuit around 0.5 bar of pressure.
