Which turbo are you using for 350-380bhp

As stated, just trying to decide which turbo to start saving up for to get around 350-380bhp and thought I'd ask which one people are using on here to get this power and what the lag/response is like with said turbo.
After a similar feel to standard 20v but a bigger kick in the back after 2500rpm...
Seems a minefield...... Also need opinion on exhaust manifolds to match it too...

RS2 seems the most logical choice for that power band but products from KKK (K26/7/9), Comp CT350, GT2871 will all play and offer a tad more power than requested... it's all covered 1001 times so the information is about.

for that power RS2 turbo is best all day consider 2871r as an alternative but more expensive to implement as the RS2 turbo is bolt on

buy an complete rs2 setup =

        Rs2 manifold
        Rs2 turbo kkk k24 7200
        Rs2 dp/ 3" dp
        Rs2 injectors
        and a chip from paul
(dont know if Rs2 maf is needed when its chipped from paul?)

and if you have more money to spend, buy at the same time:

Samco silicone boost hoses (+ "mark h mod")
also Rs2 intercooler/ wagner tuning intercooler would make nice difference

One thing i've learned we are way behind the Scandinavians!

RS2 is hard to beat for tried and tested, bolt on upgrade... More complexity with anything non KKK derived - funky oil lines and air hoses - not rocket science though. I would also say that factory RS2 or Wagner EM is your best bet - avoid the chinese replica stuff. And a good size intercooler is your friend

Thanks, thats settled then. Rebuilding the bottom end next year so will keep an eye out for RS2 turbo and manifold (could take a year on its own). So at this level of power/torque will the standard 3B rods be OK with just uprated bearings from ABY/RS2? Personally prefer to over engineer so had pretty much decided to use uprated rods too whilst I'm at it... but many seem to run this setup on standard bottom end .
Paul, the chargecooler is rated to 600bhp so hopefully should work as well if not better than RS2 intercooler.

Well - if you want maximum potential and therefore torque from RS2 turbo then you should most certainly invest in higher spec conrods... I can setup RS2 mapping for 'safe' torque levels of course and the car runs just fine - but the extra oomf from say 1.8bar in the midrange needs some conrod banana insurance... This is one more reason for switchable ECU so you can run most of time in safer levels and with more fuel economy too.

Probably / possibly spark hop induced - as discussed at length on here.... Note to self to resurrect my 'solid state distributor' project for the 3B - maybe in a year or more I will have actually built one. Then again - maybe not
